Our most recent trip to the Caribbean was amazing as we experienced God using a small team from Leavenworth and saw first
hand how God is working through His church. The part I love the most about leading trips is the transformation of the various
team members as they experience, many for the first time, an invitation given by them for someone to accept the Lord.
We are truly blessed to be able to be a part of the harvest where a lot of the work has already be done by others. To hear the stories of the lives of our new brothers and sisters is very humbling. We show up for a week and they tell us about how much they appreciate our sacrifice in going to spend time with them. We tell them that it is our calling to be there and specifically with them at that moment, but they still don't understand why we would spend so much time, effort and money to see them. God is so good to put the calling of the Great Commission on our hearts. We love these new babes in Christ while at
the same time hold up the leadership in prayer for all of the discipleship work we leave them with. Truly, we have been blessed
by the Lord and the wonderful, believing congregation at home who prayed us through a very defining week in so many lives.
Please continue to pray for the leadership there as well as the new Christians that their new faith will evolve as we have
all personally experienced in our own lives. |
